Colorism by definition is prejudice or discrimination against individuals with a dark skin tone. From the United States to Asia to Africa, colorism is a world-wide issue. In the United States it can be traced directly back to slavery. Students learn the history of colorism, how media perpetuates it today, and how they can persevere anyway!
