Students have the opportunity through hands on activities, articles and videos to understand the uniqueness and beauty of their hair. Students gain self-confidence in a world that constantly says that they are not good enough based on the texture and length of their hair. This program fights to change those negative perceptions.
Hands on Activities
This is an interactive learning experience. Products Day is example of students learning what products work best for their hair in a hands-on way.
Let's Learn
Students read articles, analyze, and write about topics focused on hair, including: natural, permed, braided, short or long, and everything in between.
Be Creative
Students learn in different ways, including, visually, verbally, and physically. Therefore, one of the ways we build self-esteem is through creativity.
